Blog Update: Jeremy Flores
CAPBRETON, France (Monday, February 6, 2012) - Jeremy Flores will soon be heading to Australia for the start of the 2012 ASP World Tour in Coolangatta, but for now he’s concentrating on bigger surf in Hawaii, this is his story !
“There has been non stop swell on the north shore, some big waves, i’m happy i got to try my big boards and got to surf Waimea bay. i had a lot of fun. was a very good vibe and got to share some nice ones with friends. I also surfed some other outer reef, very scary in deep water, good experience but for these kind of waves i definitely need bigger boards, so i ordered 10’0 which should be a good size for me for when it gets very big on those outer reef waves. I’m new to all of this but i’m enjoying it so far, lots of adrenaline and scary moments, staying long time under water but at the end of the day it’s such good feeling ! I am now still in Hawaii and there’s more big swell coming so i’m not sure what i’m going to do, probably wait and see if the Eddie Aikau will run and keep enjoying this beautiful island.
Les grosses houles n’arrêtent pas depuis quelques temps ici sur le North shore, je suis content j’ai pu essayer mon quiver de grosses vagues et surtout surfer a Waimea Bay, j’ai passe un super moments a partager des énormes vagues avec ces légendes et amis. J’ai aussi surfe des autres spots au large dans des eaux très profondes, c’est un vrai challenge, nouvelle expérience et j’ai vu que j’avais besoin de planches encore plus grandes, j’ai donc commande une 10’0 pour ce genre de conditions. Tout ça est encore une nouvelle expérience pour moi mais je passe un super moment, a apprendre a rider sur ces montagnes,c’est flippant et sa rigole pas, je me suis fait des grosses frayeur mais c’est une adrénaline qui n’a pas de prix, une fois de retour sur la plage tu as l’impression que rien d’autre peut être aussi excitant. ILs annoncent encore d’autres grosse houles pour cette semaine, peut être le Eddie Aikau, donc je vais devoir rester sur place et attendre, les surfeurs habitue a participer a l’Eddie Aikau disaient que les organisateurs auraient du lancer la compétition il y a quelques jours déjà, donc au moins je sais a quoi m’attendre.
