Current WCT surfer Greg Emslie (ZAF) is matched against WQS ratings # 1 Adriano de Souza (BRA) in the morning's opening 25-minute heat as they go for their share of the US$ 125,000 prize money. |

DAY 6 - Saturday, August 20, 2005 |
Competition is underway at the 2005 Soöruz Lacanau Pro a men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) contest on a dark, rain drenched morning.
Continuing strong cross-shore winds, heavy showers and an increase in swell with waves in the 4ft range is what we have on offer here at Plage Centrale. The line-up, beach, contest site and the town itself is currently deserted as the surfers enter their respective heats. |

DAY 5 - Friday, August 19, 2005 |
After a three day wait the 2005 Soöruz Lacanau Pro a men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event is once again up and running. Organisers have decided to finish off round 192 on the main bank before moving on to double banks later in the day in the hope of running through to the end of round 96. Heat 17 will start proceedings here at Plage Centrale. |

DAY 4 - Thursday, August 18, 2005 |
Very small conditions have again greeted staff and surfers at lunchtime today at the 2005 Soöruz Lacanau Pro a men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event. Once again organisers have decided to wait for the higher tide in the hope of a possible re-start to round 196 with heat 17 later this afternoon. |

DAY 3 - Wednesday, August 17, 2005 |
Small conditions again forced organisers to call off competition for a second day in a row at the 2005 Soöruz Lacanau Pro a men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event. After waiting for the higher tide to re-start round 196 with heat 17 occasional small sets were on offer but the poor state of the banks left officials with no other choice but to cancel. |

DAY 2 - Tuesday, August 16, 2005 |
The 2005 Soöruz Lacanau Pro was postponed today due to small conditions. The men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event was on hold throughout the morning in the hope of a possible start to heat 17 of the round of 196. Finally at 11:30am organisers, after continual assessment, decided to cancel competition for today. |

DAY 1 - Monday, August 15, 2005 |
The Sooruz Lacanau Pro 2005 ran through to heat 16 of round one with high performance small wave surfing being the highlight from the strong international field on day one of this men's ASP 6 star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event. |
